Garda Lake Hostel – A Refreshed Lakeside Experience “Live a new place to stay, live a new experience”: that’s what it feels like to stay at Garda Lake Hostel, a modern, comfortable, and affordable hostel located in Peschiera sul Garda, on the shores of the magnificent Lake Garda. Although it's a youth hostel, people of all ages can stay, as I did, and enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay. It's a large hostel with excellent facilities and an atmosphere designed to make travelers feel at home. Breakfast is included, as are spacious common areas and everything you need for a great stay. Among its most charming features are the available bicycles, perfect for exploring the surrounding natural landscapes. Sunsets over the lake are simply unforgettable: sitting and watching the sun dip below the horizon is an experience worth the entire trip. Furthermore, from the area, you can easily travel by bus to visit amazing places and discover the most special corners of Lake Garda and its surroundings. Perfect accommodation for those seeking nature, comfort, and a unique experience. Without a doubt, a place I would return to.

I simply want to support the owner's statements. Since we haven't stayed at this hostel ourselves, but friends have (we usually stay in vacation rentals) 😉, if someone lacks the backbone to resolve complaints face-to-face and then vents on online platforms, it reveals their true colors. Of course, you can mention certain shortcomings afterward, adding that you tried to resolve them beforehand (as described above, a "personal complaint"). Furthermore, the staff there (presumably) aren't paid as well as in higher-end hotels or vacation rentals. They'd certainly appreciate a small tip 😉 (groups can always chip in). It's not advisable to take things for granted, and a small token of appreciation motivates the staff 😊

Super friendly staff, very relaxed, kind, and accommodating; a lovely lounge; a delicious social dinner; and a simple but solid, lovingly prepared breakfast... we felt extremely comfortable; it's a special place! As a family with children, we had a private room and felt incredibly well looked after. A 5-star hotel? No! But for the price and the welcoming atmosphere, it's an absolute gem!

Very easy to get to from the train station. There's a bus and ferry nearby for getting around. Close to the town center and the beach. The reception staff were all fantastic! The room cleaning was very basic, and the bathroom, even though it was an 8-person room, was barely cleaned. The kitchen was quite dirty. Everything else was excellent. I would definitely go back!

Excellent location, close to the train station, the lake, and places to eat! The reception staff are incredibly friendly, and the rooms are very nice! I highly recommend it if you're a woman traveling alone.

The hostel is centrally located. The staff are friendly. The rooms are okay. The kitchen wasn't the best equipped and wasn't very hygienic. Many sponges and cloths were used by everyone and hadn't been changed or washed for several days. The refrigerator leaked so much that everything inside was very wet. Egg cartons disintegrated as a result. The second refrigerator wasn't even turned on. Depending on the evening, the kitchen was either empty or packed. The lobby was very nicely furnished, tidy, and clean. The rooms were large and reasonably clean. The bathroom showed signs of wear and tear. Cleanliness was a solid 7/10. There were limescale deposits, some of which were yellowed. One of the sinks had a stopper that only let water drip through when open, creating a pool of water. The furniture on the balcony was also discolored from sun and rain. The mattress was thin but clean. The pillow was very flat; I had to fold it to be able to lie on it. The lockers were a good size. The room was advertised for 8 women, but in my room, there were never more than 4 of us. With only one bathroom and one toilet, it would probably have been very cramped for eight people. It's a 10-minute walk to the train station and the nearest grocery store. The hostel is surrounded by many restaurants and a 25-minute walk to Cappuccini Beach. From Port de García, you can take a bus to Venice (1 hour 40 minutes) for €11, to Verona (2 minutes) for €4, and to Milan (approximately 2 hours) for €13. The hostel offers good value for money. I always felt comfortable and am happy there.

During our family stay, we had a wonderful experience. The hostel's location is excellent, just 10 minutes from the historic center and very well connected to the city's main attractions. The staff is extremely friendly and always smiling, which made us feel very welcome. The breakfast is simple, but offers everything you need to start the day well. We will definitely stay here again if we have the opportunity.

Close to the train station, within walking distance. Very nice hostel, friendly atmosphere, very pleasant common area. It delivers on its promises. I recommend it.

Excellent hostel, extremely clean, spacious and well located. It's worth visiting Peschiera, swimming in Lake Garda, and admiring the crystal-clear river that runs through the city. Some parts are very reminiscent of Venice, although with far fewer tourists.

Very pleasant and clean environment. Great facilities. One of the attendants was rude, but all the others were very friendly.

Highly recommended. A very warm welcome, a clean and pleasant establishment. Attentive staff, a great atmosphere and cultural exchange. Ideally located for visiting Verona, Venice, and Milan, among other places. I will definitely book there again on my next trip.
