When you exit the train at the Anjos stop you will need to follow the signs that say “saida” (exit) Rua de Angola. Be sure that you exit on the street Rua de Angola. If you take the wrong exit you will be one city block in the wrong direction. As you exit the metro station, coming to the top of the stairs, you will see a Portuguese Coffee Shop “Almirante”, just on the corner of the Av. Almirante Reis and Rua Angola. Turn Right on Angola street, and then right on Rua do Forno do Tijolo. Our hostel is at the end of the street on the right side (number 3).

The building is beautiful and very clean, and the reception staff were excellent. Breakfast is definitely worth it. We also really enjoyed the bar and its cocktails. Overall, everything was fantastic. We'll definitely be back.

I've stayed in several hostels and this is by far the BEST hostel in Lisbon! Cleanliness 10/10, reception 10/10 (especially JOJO, super polite, patient and empathetic with the public, professional, polite, solved my problems, helped, everything with great ease and professionalism. (deserves a raise). The cleaning team is a 10/10, the kitchen is always clean, the bathrooms, the rooms, the entire space itself, it's almost 24/7 cleaning! And very comfortable beds!!! The bar staff are also a 10/10, always quick and always serving with a smile, 10/10! Not to mention the patio outside with its tables and chairs, a delight to have your coffee/tea/breakfast etc. When the sun shines there, it's even better! I recommend it! Don't wait and book your reservation NOW!!!

Overall, a hostel with great value for money and a pleasant stay! I stayed 5 days in a women-only shared room and these are my opinions: - Room: nice, clean and organized. Few girls were staying longer, with several just passing through. Most of the time the room wasn't full. I think for women, the women-only room is definitely worth it. The curtains on the beds make all the difference for privacy! - Kitchen: complete, with various materials for food preparation. I thought the surfaces (tables, countertops) could have been better cleaned overall. Good refrigerator and nobody touched the food that had my name on it (they provide labels). - Location: good. The neighborhood is family-friendly and not very noisy. However, it is predominantly populated by Arab/Pakistani citizens who often don't speak Portuguese or English. Despite this, I felt safe on the streets. The famous Tram 28/12 passes right in front, as do several bus lines. There are two metro stations less than a 6-minute walk away. Nearby there are markets, cafes, restaurants, bars and pharmacies; - Staff: all very helpful and polite. Special thanks to the Latin Americans there 🫶🏼 - Negative points: they don't allow you to bring in alcoholic beverages and this isn't mentioned before booking. This is probably due to the fact that there's a bar on the lower floor, but it's annoying not being able to bring wine to accompany dinner. I also felt that a good portion of the guests are there as nomads, working remotely. Therefore, they are less inclined to socialize. Most of the scheduled activities don't happen (cinema, trivia, etc.)

Great experience! The reception staff were very friendly, the rooms and bathrooms were clean and organized, the common areas were nice, and the breakfast was very good, including custard tarts! I stayed two nights and would definitely return. It's not exactly next to the main attractions, but you can walk to several of them in a few minutes.

I spent three wonderful days at this hostel and my experience was excellent. The facilities are great: everything is very clean, organized, comfortable, and in a perfect location, close to everything. But what really made my stay special was the way I was treated. I was very well received by staff member Mayara, who, in addition to being super kind, was always very helpful, attentive, and full of good tips on where to eat, what to visit, and how to get around the city. This attention made all the difference. I also interacted with staff member Jojo, who was impeccable—always helpful, attentive, and ready to assist, in addition to creating a welcoming atmosphere with good conversations that made me feel at home. And the extra surprise was the bar inside the hostel. Luiza, who works at the bar, also contributed greatly to my experience: friendly, attentive, and always recommending great drinks and good parties, making the atmosphere even more welcoming. The hostel itself is already excellent, but what really makes everything special is the staff's service. I leave with a full heart and the certainty that I will return. I highly recommend it!

I stayed in the 8-bed women's room and everything was great – clean, friendly staff & good location. I can highly recommend it.

Very nice hostel. Especially good because it's not located directly in the center, so there are cheap restaurants and bars in the area.

We were a family of four and stayed in a four-bed room. The wonderful garden and location have already been described in other reviews. What I would add is that some rooms on the third and fourth floors are only accessible via narrow stairs (there's no elevator, luggage storage is in the basement), making it very difficult with large, heavy suitcases. These rooms also have very plain walls, no stucco or anything similar, and some face the noisy street (tram, cobblestones). I also found the four-bed room a bit small. Breakfast for €7 is more than fair, and our children didn't have to pay extra. I would have liked more healthy options (whole grain/dark bread, muesli instead of just Kellogg's cereal) and would gladly have paid an extra euro or two for them.

I was very happy with my stay. The location is absolutely perfect, the kitchen is huge and well-equipped, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The only downside was the unreliable Wi-Fi. Out of the four days I was in Lisbon, I only had Wi-Fi for one. That's really annoying when you're traveling. Nevertheless, I would still recommend the hostel.
