A propos de l’Hostel
from £16.99 per night
Our very own traditional British pub below the hostel is a home away from home for backpackers visiting London. Cosy, quaint and quintessentially British, you can’t get more of an English experience than at the Flying Horse. We’re a local hang out in Liverpool Street where you can socialise and relax in between sightseeing. Serving up locally brewed cask ales as well as delicious cocktails and gins, you can spend the whole evening here. Join us Monday to Friday for our Happy Hour from 4-7pm, or for Live music every Thursday night, and Karaoke every Friday night. We also show live sports including Premier League, Champions League, Rugby, Cricket, Horse Racing, etc.

A decent hostel right next to the train station. The beds have curtains and the mattresses are comfortable. The rooms are clean and tidy and have air conditioning. A microwave in the common room would have been handy. Unfortunately, it was overcrowded with bar patrons one evening around 6 pm, which was quite annoying as I had to eat my dinner in my room. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff is extremely friendly and the location couldn't be more convenient. The rooms aren't perfectly clean, and the bedding had some stains.

Aside from the bathroom exhaust fan not working, which caused a slight unpleasant smell on the way to the room, I liked everything else. Special mention to the Brazilian cleaner who was kind and communicative when she cleaned the room.

The hotel is quite small overall—stairs, rooms, and bathrooms—but it's comfortable, clean, and nice. If you're staying one or two nights, it's perfectly fine, even without a kitchen or hotel staff. Its proximity to the central station for getting to Stansted Airport is a real advantage. The reception is located in the bar, so it gets crowded after hours, which might give the impression that the reception staff aren't very attentive. However, they are very friendly and will let you store your luggage. A tip: bring your own padlock to secure your luggage. It's a good option, and I recommend it.

It's very good for the price, but breakfast could be cheaper for those staying at the hostel; also, the showers are excessively small.

For what it is – a budget hostel – it's perfect. The dorms and toilets are clean, the location is perfect, and the staff is friendly. I would definitely come back!
Tobbit Skiywalker
Very affordable hostel, friendly staff and a good breakfast for the low price.

The price is okay. The cleanliness is also okay. The location is good, just a 3-minute walk to Liverpool Street. Wi-Fi is free. A £2 deposit is required for the key card. There are USB charging ports at each bed. It's well-suited for a short trip.

Excellent place, ideally located in the banking district, impeccably clean
