Balmers Hostel is an amazing spot to stay in Interlaken on a budget. The amenities provide everything you'll need and more to be comfy and prepared to explore Interlaken. The place was clean throughout and the staff was helpful in resolving some issues with ski passes that were new to the ski season this year. Highly recommended!

Would recommend to friends and stay here again. Great atmosphere and location. Our room was neat and clean when we arrived. Common areas were also clean. Staff was very helpful with recommendations and questions while we were staying here. Ratio of rooms to bathrooms was enough that you didn’t have to wait long to use the bathroom no matter what time of day. Mr. Balmer has created a cultural landmark. A must experience if you are in Switzerland. Can’t wait to stay here again.

One of the coolest hostels I've ever stayed in! Located in a magical place in the world! I remember the crazy showers, the hallways and rooms with random numbers hehehe. And the bar with karaoke in the basement of the courtyard. Unforgettable experience in September 2017 👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️

For the price of the night it was very good. Some negative points: the windows of our room were cloistered so no view possible and impossible to ventilate. The kitchen is not very clean because of badly educated people who don't clean their dishes. The water in the jacuzzi did not smell good. But I had a very good stay.

A nice clean hostel. Thanks for the warm welcome!

The hostel is close to the train station and several services. There are several services available to us, including a kitchen, a dining room, a games room, a laundry room, several rest areas and even a bar! It's the atmosphere that makes the difference in this hostel, the people are nice and happy to be there! The only point to improve would be the cleanliness of the toilets, otherwise everything was perfect! I recommend it to everyone!

Very good option if you want to stay without spending so much. The people at the reception are very friendly and offer you a pass to take the buses in the area at no cost during your stay. The breakfast is ok, it is enough to save one meal for the day. Close to bus and train stations. Close to supermarkets in case you prefer to take your own food on your excursions (much cheaper) or buy beer. It is a bit noisy at night when the tenants arrive, but in terms of comfort it is sufficient. It has common recreational areas such as a room with instruments and a reading room. When we went, the Biergarten was not yet open. The toilets and showers are shared but are always clean.

Very good but expensive for a hostel, especially when it's cold and you can't enjoy the outdoors, nor the club which was under construction

A gigantically great experience that I have never had before. For people on a tight budget who want to experience Switzerland, the Balmers Hostel is a wonderful way to do this. I'm staying in a single room because I was travelling by bike. The option of staying in a shared room and a cheaper price would have been available. The breakfast was very good. And the opportunity to get to know other people is endless, if I can describe it that way. Thank you very much.

Well located and great living spaces. EXCELLENT BREAKFAST. Hot shower and clean restrooms. The lockers are outside the room, but the reception staff say they can keep electronic items if necessary.

The best hostel I've been to in Switzerland. And in which I spent the most time because I felt very comfortable. I was going for 3 weeks and I stayed 1 month. In the hostel I have met young people of many nationalities with whom I have been able to share good times, cook in the hostel, go dancing at the club, use the jacuzzi on the terrace, even in winter, while it was snowing. The snow was falling on us and we were inside the jacuzzi as if nothing had happened, warm. :) The service is great. Everything is always very clean, impeccable. All the workers are very nice and friendly, always willing to help you and answer any questions you may have. From the cleaners to the bosses. They are very supportive. They have everything. I have never seen a hostel with so many options: games room with billiards, table football, a room with hammocks, different spaces to relax, read, be seated or with the computer, with sofas, pianos,... On weekend nights they cook typical Swiss dishes such as raclettes, or fondue, they also have great burgers and for vegetarians too. They offer free tours to discover Interlaken, plus they have many other activities and adventure sports. I did paragliding, an incredible experience, which I definitely recommend. I met them through Worldpackers, so I was able to do an exchange. Switzerland is a very expensive country but this hostel has affordable prices. Interlaken is small, Switzerland is a small country but it has incredible landscapes. You have to enjoy the beauty of nature that these Alps have, their lakes and their people. I recommend this hostel and I hope to return soon. Thanks for all super team! Until next time! :)

Beautiful place, super attentive staff and especially Elsa who did everything and a little more to help me. Very friendly and helpful. The accommodations are great, everything is very clean and organized. Very close to everything, there is a market on the street behind the hostel and you can walk there easily. I loved it, I want to go back and I recommend it!

Great place, not too social atmosphere as it is mostly large groups.

Simple hostel but very nice and clean. Very attentive staff with good tips. In the hostel there is a bar and a restaurant with very good prices. It's located next to a bus stop, good for getting around the city. I highly recommend to stay in Interlaken.

The rooms are spacious but next to it there is a nightclub (which belongs to the hostel itself). This causes constant noise throughout the night. A fun fact is that this hostel has a lot of Korean Chinese and Japanese guests. When we arrived they gave us a card that did not allow us to take the buses of the town for free. On the other hand, the stuff is very friendly and if you have a problem or simply ask them for information, they will help you with a smile. In conclusion a good hostel
