Hyve Hostel

The price/performance ratio is probably unique. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, the rooms are spotlessly clean, and the atmosphere is lovely. Superb!

The room and bathroom weren't the best for a hostel, but they were acceptable for the price. The other facilities were great. Plus, it was very close to the Central Station and the tram stop. The fact that they had free luggage storage was a plus!

A very nice building with comfortable common areas. The staff is wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Clean rooms and bathrooms, and a very spacious and tidy kitchen.

One of the few affordable things in Basel is this amazing hostel. I stayed in one of the private rooms with a shared bathroom and shower. EVERYTHING was top-notch – the quality was evident everywhere, including the showers, my God, what fantastic showers. The fixtures, the water pressure, and even the towels are incredible. The bed is SUPER comfortable and my room was incredibly quiet. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Great hostel with friendly staff and good facilities. Located near Basel SBB train station, generally quiet. The breakfast is also delicious. The bathrooms were clean and well-equipped, and the room was functional and clean.

I've stayed here a few times and I'm a big fan. For families traveling together, it's great to have the option of a hotel room with several rooms around a shared living room with a large balcony. They obviously went to great lengths to keep prices as low as possible. The room was perfectly clean and comfortable, but some amenities were a little too cheap – the mini-fridge didn't close properly, the hairdryer didn't heat up, there's no sunshade on the main window so the room gets very hot in the summer. As is standard in Switzerland, this hotel doesn't have air conditioning, so it gets very hot in the summer. The staff are always very welcoming, efficient and make you feel at home effortlessly. The family-oriented spaces are in a separate building from the hostel-style rooms, so noise or pedestrians at night have never been a problem.

You can live a super relaxed life with a great app called "GOKI," which allows you to open doors with one click. "Like in Harry Potter, hocus pocus, and the door is open!" I found the service to be very friendly and helpful. They help you if you need anything. The location is right in the center of Basel, making it easy to go anywhere you want, whether it's to the train station or anywhere else. Very pleasant apartments with an excellent location, very close to the train station. There are apartments, single rooms, hostel-style rooms, and capsules. It has a laundry room, a pool table, foosball, and darts.

Great location, very friendly staff. All rooms were always clean, and the shared kitchen is spacious and has everything you need. Online check-in worked perfectly, and I had my Basel Card and the codes for the corresponding rooms the same morning before my arrival. It was a very relaxed and pleasant experience from booking to check-out. The value for money here is really very good.

We stayed in one of the apartments, with an ensuite bathroom. The room was very spacious, warm, and clean. Very quiet. We checked in completely independently, first online, and then we entered directly with the code in our room. Very close to the central station.

This hostel was an absolute gem! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and friendliness by the staff, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The location is unbeatable—in the middle of Basel. It's the perfect base for exploring the surrounding mountains, lakes, and charming towns. The room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space and secure lockers. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Switzerland!!!

This was my first time sleeping in a capsule and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere inside the hostel is also fantastic, with a perfect sense of community. The staff is very attentive to everyone's needs. I highly recommend it!

A very nice apartment, spacious and well-equipped. The only thing missing was cutlery in case you wanted to dine there. But we solved it by asking at reception, as they also offer a hostel option, which includes a shared kitchen. It's advertised as having parking spaces for an extra charge, but there are only two, and when we arrived, they were occupied, so if you need them, it might be a good idea to reserve them in advance. Parking is very difficult in this area, as it's only for residents, and the police monitor parked cars. However, we were able to solve the problem by parking in the train station parking lot, which is a few blocks away. The area and neighborhood are very nice and quiet. You can easily walk downtown on a pleasant walk. I recommend it!

Only a 5-minute walk from Basel SBB Station. Arrival possible at any time, check-in is easy via a kiosk after 11 p.m. The 6-bed rooms are very comfortable. Equipped with a sink and large lockers. Shared bathroom/toilet upstairs, but very, very clean! I recommend!

Modern hotel with a coworking space. Close to the SBB train station and St. Margarethen Park. The rooms are functionally furnished, clean, and quiet. I had a room with a shared bathroom, and the restrooms were very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I stayed last December in a double room with a private bathroom, and it was very nice. It also has European outlets, so you don't need an adapter. The only thing that surprised me a little was that you can't check in until 3:00 pm and you have to leave by 10:00 am. They have a lockable room where you can leave your bags. And I really liked that they give you a card when you arrive at the hotel so you can travel for free on the tram.

Wonderful, very good bar and kitchen

Wonderful hostel. Clean, tidy, and organized. In the lounge area, coffee, chamomile tea, and various teas are available all day. There's a long, comfortable corner sofa, a pool table, large tables with chairs and benches, and plenty of electrical outlets. There's a small garden with loungers. If I were to return to Basel, I'd stay here again. Excellent, quiet location, just 300 meters from the train station.
