1. KostBar Sennhof
Location: Sennhofstrasse 19a, 7000 Chur, Switzerland
Opening hours: Tue to Fri 15:00 – 23:00; Sat 11:30 – 00:00
Just next door to Bogentrakt Hostel, you’ll find Kostbar — a cozy spot that opens in the evening and serves as both a restaurant and a relaxed bar. Many guests pop in just for a drink, thanks to its welcoming atmosphere. Kostbar offers a great selection of regional and seasonal dishes, and it’s an excellent choice if you’re with friends or family. Wondering about more affordable options for sharing? 2. Café Patschifig
Location: Grabenstrasse 1, 7000 Chur, Switzerland

This charming café has a fitting name — Patschifig means cozy, calm, and peaceful. If you’re looking for a great meal at a fair price, Café Patschifig is definitely worth a visit! They offer excellent lunch deals and focus on fresh, regional, and seasonal ingredients. You’ll also find local specialties on the menu, like capuns — a traditional dish featuring meat rolled in dough — along with vegetarian options. It’s an ideal spot if you’re not sure where to eat in Chur!
3. Karma’s Kitchen
Location: Scharfrichtergasse 3, 7000 Chur, Switzerland
Opening hours: Mon to Thu 11:30 – 14:00; Fri 11:30 – 14:00 & 18:00- 22:00
If you’re into Asian cuisine, don’t miss this hidden gem — an Asian food temple serving up authentic Himalayan flavours! The focus is on Nepalese dishes, but you’ll also find a variety of Tibetan and other Asian specialties. Their generous buffet lets you pick exactly what you want: a small plate costs 14 CHF, a large one is 16 CHF, and if you’re really hungry, the all-you-can-eat option is just 20 CHF. A delicious deal for a taste of the Himalayas!
4. Restaurant Franziskaner
Location: u. Gasse 29, 7000 Chur, Switzerland
Opening hours: Mon to Sun 07:00 – 22:00
When visiting a new country or city, trying the local specialties is a must — and in Chur, Restaurant Franziskaner is the perfect place to do just that. This classic Swiss restaurant serves up traditional dishes, including fondue and raclette, two iconic Swiss meals that many travelers are eager to try.
