Hi Loft Reykjavik Hostel

Hi Eco Hostel has a great atmosphere for all ages. We found it a lovely place to meet people and really enjoyed the café, bar, and kitchen. Our superior double room was very comfortable on our first stay, but the standard double room was less comfortable and very noisy on Friday nights, so we wouldn't choose it again for a weekend. But on other nights, it's an ideal place to meet people.

Wow! I loved the location and the community was great! I've stayed in several hostels during my travels, so I'm familiar with shared spaces. I stayed in the 8-bedroom female dormitory with a shared bathroom. They provide earplugs and all the guests I interacted with were very polite. The price was phenomenal considering all the amenities. I used the kitchen daily and loved the common space to relax. I was able to store my luggage on arrival and departure. They even have a bar and espresso/regular coffee. The terrace is also amazing! The staff was very kind and helpful. I was impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the place. I definitely recommend this place to any solo traveler. 10 out of 10!

Having stayed in hostels all over Europe and Asia, Loft HI Hostel is one of the best, considering its excellent location, room size, and facilities offered. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city, and the shared kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils and offers various snacks, tea, and coffee free of charge for guests. I highly recommend booking if you are looking for a great place to stay but on a limited budget.

I spent six nights with my son. The room was comfortable, although there were few options for storing clothes. We had breakfast in the kitchen and loved the table football. Check-in and check-out were super easy. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The other guests were also pleasant.

Beautiful and welcoming hostel. The rooms are cleaned daily. Very friendly staff. The owner is lovely and has a beautiful dog. The bar area is a highlight, full of sofas, chairs and games of all kinds. And, to top it all off, a magnificent terrace overlooking the main street in the city center. The kitchen is open 24/7. Super central location.

The room was exactly as pictured, very comfortable! Everything was very clean, communication was very easy, the staff was very friendly, and the location is the best—just steps from the main attractions.

This youth hostel is super cozy and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable (8 nights!). The location is also great, and the rooftop terrace is fantastic. I'll definitely come back here if I travel to Iceland again! Ursula

Special mention to the staff, especially Karolina, who is the best! Super friendly and helped me a lot with some issues that came up during my stay! The location is unbeatable. As for the rooms, they're good and spacious, the bathroom is also spacious, but the shower area is very, very small. The beds are okay, but it wouldn't hurt to add curtains for a little more privacy.

Highly recommended for a few nights, especially for partygoers. The surroundings are rather noisy, as it's right in the city center and surrounded by restaurants, bars, and cafes. The hostel staff are very friendly and helpful.

I dare say they have the best location and price in all of Iceland. A self-service kitchen, a kitchen for heating anything, and a complete and satisfying breakfast. The common room is absolutely beautiful, cozy, and very well decorated. The bedrooms and bathroom are large and clean. Anyone can use their services and spend the rest of their money on tours, food, or souvenirs.

First off: we can't comment on the rooms. We only went to the rooftop bar. The bar was the highlight of our stay. A diverse mix of people. Friendly and peaceful. It was simply a lot of fun.

The best hostel in Reykjavik!!! 👍🏻 - Perfect location! You can do everything on foot in the center - Comfortable beds - Clean bathroom, room and bedding - Ideal heater temperature - Spacious room (6 beds for women) - Individual power outlets and lights at the beds with space to put personal items - Pub with terrace to make friends - Breakfast ok (basic, but ok for a hostel) 👎🏻 - In the summer, with the outside light, it must be difficult to sleep because the curtains don't cover the entire window - There are no lockers to store luggage, only a kind of drawer under the beds that fits some things like documents, equipment and valuables - During the week it was great, but on Saturday the noise was very intense during the early morning, as there was a party in the pub on the top floor - I arrived during the early morning (1 am) and couldn't open the locker where my room card was, even entering the correct password… There was no one to help me! After almost an hour of trying, I finally managed to open it. It remains the BEST hostel in the city and I will definitely be back!

Located on the fourth floor of the building, it offers a beautiful view of the city. Popular with young people, it offers mostly drinks and limited food options. The interior is very welcoming and feels almost like home. I didn't sleep in the hostel, but only drank at the bar.
