The location is excellent, close to everything. The staff has been very attentive and friendly at all times. They have a laundry service, which I used because I didn't have much luggage, and it was super easy and convenient. The bar is very good, and they even have a place to heat water or food.

Excellent choice! It was number one on my list. On the day of my departure, I forgot my phone in the room. They were so kind and efficient that the next morning I received my phone at my next destination, Santa Margherita. Eternally grateful to the staff, especially Dominique who arranged everything. Thank you!

Excellent location. They have lockable lockers for your belongings, a bathroom with hot water that's always clean, and the host is very friendly. It's literally within walking distance of everything. There's a refrigerator if you want to store things; I just wish there was a kettle.

Staff was super nice. I only stayed one night, but found the shower situation slightly annoying (water everywhere in the bathroom after 30 seconds of showering). Unlike other comments say, they now allow you to stay in the bar without consuming anything as long as it’s not super busy, and there’s an outside area that you can be in without ordering anything

I stayed just one night and it was great! The room was spotless, and the beds were comfortable. They stored my luggage the next day after checkout, and it felt secure. The location is good, just two blocks from the canal. The only thing I didn't like was the atmosphere with other guests. I saw drunk men, men staring, and some with unfriendly expressions—not very pleasant for a woman traveling alone.

Decent for the price. Close to stations. Rooms are full, 12 people in a room. I got unlucky and had some very unpleasant and inconsiderate roommates (poor hygiene and snorers/multiple alarms that they didn’t turn off) The shower wasn’t great and bathroom was cramped. I didn’t shower there as it was a single night and I just needed a bed. Storage is spacious. Beds have poor privacy. There are big gaps in the curtains. This morning I was on my phone and some young guy was just staring at me through the curtain?? Weird. Staff are fine at least the hostel staff. Bar staff seem a bit different. They seem to be a bar for locals that has a hostel attached. No proper kitchen just a microwave and a fridge. Not what you want in a hostel honestly. Other than that it wasn’t bad. I think it’s fine for a night or two.

Excellent hostel, beds, bathrooms, and rooms. The guys at reception are the best, the best vibe. Thanks!

During a train trip across Europe (thanks to the Interrail pass ;) this was by far the best hostel we stayed in! A great welcome, possibility to leave your luggage on the day of departure. Very well located, halfway between the train station and the port and inexpensive. We were in a room for 12 but only 4 beds were occupied. It is modern and the decoration is friendly, the beds are all well demarcated with a cable to hang a towel and have more privacy.

I stayed here for one night. The location is very convenient, right in the center. I stayed in a 6-bed room with an ensuite bathroom. The room was averagely clean, with air conditioning, but the bathroom was generally dirty and uncomfortable. There were no hooks in the bathrooms to hang towels or clothes. The shower wasn't very clean, with curtains that didn't close properly, which made the bathroom floor wet. Otherwise, I wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary, given the type of property. There's a bar on the ground floor and vending machines inside the building for snacks or drinks throughout the night. Special mention goes to the reception staff, who were very kind and helpful in recommending Trieste's nightlife. I really appreciated their friendliness. Towels and other items are available for rent. Padlocks, eye masks, earplugs, etc. are also available at reception. For those coming from out of town, I recommend following their directions for parking, but if you have the option, to avoid wasting time driving around or waiting for a spot in the covered parking lots, book your parking spot before arriving.

From the Trieste train station, you can walk to Hotello. It takes about six minutes. From here, you can also walk to Caffè San Marco! You can also reach Castello di San Giusto, but the walk is longer, with stairs and inclines, but it's doable.

Very good welcome and service throughout the stay in Trieste. The room was adequate and clean. The bathroom was not necessarily great, with a shower head placed too high to be able to use it and the water flowing everywhere in the room. The walls are very thin and we could hear everything that was happening above or next to us. Very well located

The hostel is conveniently located, a 6-minute walk from the train station and very close to the historic center. The beds were comfortable, and the room was cleaned every day. The beds aren't made every day because we're obviously in a hostel, not a hotel. 😅 I stayed in a 6-bed female room on the second floor. There was plenty of space, but the only room for improvement was the bathroom. The sink is TOO small; it would be nice to replace it with a larger one because it's easy to get the floor wet even when washing your hands. Apparently, they haven't really learned the importance of hygiene here, despite having lived through the COVID crisis. I think it's essential to provide soap in the private bathroom of the 6-bed room. It doesn't seem right to me that the bathroom shared with the entire floor only has hand soap, and if someone pays more for a private bathroom, they can't have one. There's not even a hairdryer in the private room.

Very good hostel, super well located

The value for money is very good. I had a bed in a 10-person room: the mattress is fine; there's a power outlet by the bed; there are large drawers under the beds that even fit a large backpack with camping gear; the staff is always helpful; and the breakfast is decent for the price. What I didn't like so much was that the rooms were very warm despite the AC running—not surprising in late summer with 10 people. The windows could only be opened a small crack. A solution for fresh air still needs to be found! Secondly, the showers in the small bathroom for the room were at ground level, so the entire small bathroom was always completely wet after showering. This is very inconvenient. Overall, though, the hostel lives up to its promise!

A really great location and nice, clean rooms with bathrooms and showers both in the room and in the hallway. You can eat in the bar/café (or bring your own), but there's no kitchen you can use, just a microwave, which is a bit annoying. Otherwise, it's really good.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Very comfortable beds, pillows too. Delicious cotton sheets. Perfect location. Only one thing is missing, the kindness of the staff. They are not friendly, and they answer in a surly manner. Except for a cleaning guy who was very nice. Recommended.

I loved my experience at the hostel! The location is perfect, with everything nearby. The staff were also very friendly. The hostel has a café/bar where activities take place and you can meet and interact with other guests.

A hostel with an excellent location, just a few blocks from the train station and downtown. There are private rooms, but the private bathroom is located outside the room. The staff was very friendly and patiently answered all our questions. There's also a bar in the hotel where breakfast is served and where you can order drinks. Highly recommended.

I only stored luggage and everything was impeccable.
