How to arrive
From Humberto Delgado Airport or Oriente Station
If you come to Lisbon by plane, train, or bus, the easiest way to reach Lisbon Destination Hostel is by metro. The system is simple and easy to use. Take the Red Line from Aeroporto または Oriente towards São Sebastião, then change at Alameda to the Green Line towards Cais do Sodré and get off at Rossio (or Baixa-Chiado, both are within walking distance). From there, it’s just a short walk to the hostel, located inside Rossio Train Station. Alternatively, you can take the Aerobus or a taxi/Uber directly from the airport, which takes around 20–30 minutes depending on traffic. If you arrive late at night, buses such as 208 run all night and stop near the city centre, from where you can easily walk or take a short ride to the hostel. See you there soon!

I loved my stay. The staff is very hospitable and helpful. I will cherish my time here. The hostel has a good breakfast and offers interesting tour options! It's totally worth it. I even did the city tour. The hostel has a nature vibe and the background music of forest sounds at breakfast is wonderful ❤️ The showers are all individual and I thought the shower was great! Congratulations to João Pinheiro, Sunita and Prisha for the excellent service.

Great experience! The reception is super friendly, the hostel is clean, well-maintained, a nice, chill and super practical space. Right in the center of Lisbon and with great showers! What more could we want? 😁 Thank you to Pedro (I hope I remembered the name correctly) for the excellent check-out ✨ all the staff are super friendly! Thank you for the stay! I will definitely be back :)

I had a fantastic experience at this hostel. The location is perfect—it's centrally located inside a train station, and the building is beautiful with incredible views. The interior is very well maintained: the rooms are great, and the service is excellent. They organize lots of activities, like karaoke nights, barbecues, and pub crawls. The staff is wonderful and very helpful, especially Joao, Kim, Sara, and Rodrigo. I highly recommend it; it's a 10 out of 10 for me.

Incredible experience! The hostel has a wonderful atmosphere, super welcoming, organized, and with amazing people. I felt at home from day one. Everything worked very well, special thanks to Sara, always very friendly, helpful, and with great energy. She really made a difference and made the stay even more special. I definitely recommend it and would return without hesitation!

The service from the entire team was excellent. Pedro, Joao, Rodrigo, and the rest of the staff were all very helpful and willing to offer recommendations. The location is also great, just a few blocks from the Rossio metro station, and it's right there in the Rossio train station, on the second floor. If you enter through the main entrance, you have to go up all the escalators, and the reception/cafeteria is next to the luggage lockers. Keep in mind that if you arrive in the early morning (after 1 am), the station will already be closed, so you'll have to go to the left side, where there's a buzzer to contact the hostel's 24-hour reception.

We stayed at the hostel from December 29th, 2025 to January 1st, 2026. The hostel's location is perfect, very close to Rua Augusta and several tourist attractions such as the Santa Justa Elevator and Dom Pedro Square. We stayed in a mixed 10-person dorm room; the room space and luggage storage were great, not to mention the perfect view. The bathroom was very large, which we liked because it was a cubicle, with a shower and a changing area with a stool. Our only complaint was about the shower water temperature; in the last few days we had cold showers. We even spoke to a receptionist (who was very helpful), but the problem wasn't resolved. Aside from that, I recommend the hostel; I really enjoyed it and would definitely return.

I spent the night of December 31st to January 1st at the Lisbon Destination Hostel. It was my first time staying in a hostel, and I confess I was quite hesitant, especially since I was with two children (6 and 4 years old) and worried about noise, lack of privacy, and shared spaces. I was very, very impressed. João assured me we would enjoy it, and he was absolutely right. We slept beautifully on New Year's Eve, without any noise, neither from outside nor inside. The rooms seem very well insulated. The atmosphere was excellent, respectful people with good energy. I don't know if it was luck or if the hostel naturally attracts this type of person. I want to give special praise to João and Sara, who welcomed us impeccably, always friendly and helpful. Clean room, sufficient breakfast, good organization, fair price, and excellent location. I gained a completely different perspective on what a hostel is. I usually stay in 4-star hotels, and honestly, this experience was just as good. I hope to return next year, perhaps for more than one night.

The hostel is very well located, inside the train station. The receptionists are very friendly, especially Sarah, who helped me with my bus ticket. The showers are great. The women's dorms are also good, a bit cold, but turning on the air conditioning makes them comfortable. Everything was great.

My stay at this hostel was truly excellent. All the staff are friendly and professional, but João is undoubtedly the one who makes this place special. He is always warm, polite, attentive, and very professional. You can tell he loves his job and cares about the guests' well-being. Honestly, João is the heart and soul of this hostel. The atmosphere is very pleasant, peaceful, and comfortable. The facilities are always spotless, and the hostel is kept in perfect condition. The kitchen is also a huge plus: spacious, clean, and fully equipped, with everything you need to cook without any problems. In short, I wholeheartedly recommend this hostel. The staff's attentiveness, especially João's, along with the atmosphere and cleanliness, make this place a perfect experience.

Eight of us stayed in a shared room with bunk beds but a private bathroom. The bed is small but comfortable. The room isn't very big, but it serves its purpose: sleeping and washing up, as there's no room for anything else. The bathroom was adequate and very clean. Towels are available for rent for €3. Breakfast is a buffet, but it's meager and very slow; items would run out and not be replenished, the coffee machine didn't work, and they didn't explain much about it. It costs €8. The location is excellent, inside the station on the second floor, but you can also exit through the back and take the stairs that lead directly up to the upper town. It's very well located. They have a luggage service, which is a nice touch. The common area is very pleasant with comfortable sofas. Joao is attentive to anything you might need. Overall, it's a great place to spend two or three nights and explore the city.

Great location, super friendly people, spotlessly clean rooms. Whether you're traveling alone or in a group, this hostel comes highly recommended. The pictures accurately reflect the location, the staff are very friendly and attentive to guest satisfaction. The common room is a great place to socialize and relax. Even if some people linger there for a while, the excellent soundproofing ensures peace and quiet in your room. There are plenty of showers and bathrooms, which are cleaned regularly. Definitely the best hostel I've ever stayed in. João and his staff are incredibly friendly, always ready to help, and João always has a good joke. The rooms are very spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the common room is like a botanical garden. The vibe at the hostel is extremely relaxed, and I met some cool people. Next time I'm in Lisbon, I'll definitely be back! Thanks!

We stayed there for three nights and everything was great. The lounge area, with its many seating options and plants, is very comfortable. There's also a pool table and a ping-pong table. In addition, various activities are offered daily, which are a great way to meet people. The kitchen was a bit small and could be better equipped, but it was perfectly adequate. Unfortunately, some food was stolen from us on the second day. Perhaps this was unintentional, as the free shelf wasn't clearly marked. Clearer signage would help. All in all, I felt comfortable and safe, which the staff clearly valued!
