I had a great time! They're very friendly and helpful. They have a kitchen with a microwave and kettle, and two chill-out areas. The only thing is that some rooms are in the reception building and others in the front building, which wasn't ideal in the morning. Everything else was great, clean, cool, and with a great vibe. I'll be back soon!

An incredible location for those looking to visit the city center. The rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean, and the service was incredible and professional. I've never stayed in a hostel so affordable and with such high-quality services. A kitchen is missing. It could at least have an electric oven and utensils like non-disposable cutlery. I don't understand the point of disposable cutlery, though. Overall, everything was very good.

I'm 52 years old, I don't speak English, I'm very picky and this was my first experience in a hostel, I stayed in a room for only 4 women with two bunk beds and a bathroom in the room, the drawers/luggage cages didn't have padlocks, but I used my own or had the option of buying them at the hostel itself... the bed linen was all white, clean and smelled great... excellent service, excellent breakfast... the place is very safe (my wing was only for women) and the location is perfect... it was a pleasant experience... I would definitely come back!

I have been staying in this property since August 18th, I will return to Italy tomorrow. I highly recommend this Hostel to everyone, clean, comfortable, organized down to the smallest details. One night I saw the cleaning lady cleaning the bathroom even at night. There is Ilenia at the reception, a helpful and friendly Italian girl, she welcomes you and guides you with kindness and availability in every little setback. All the staff is excellent, there is also Marcus, a German boy who also suggests what to visit in Edinburgh, marking the route on the map. There is Nina, a very sweet and beautiful girl who welcomes you and accompanies you. All professionals, punctual, precise, smiling and available. For me who am learning English, finding such good people is a wonderful discovery. Highly recommended

Pretty cool atmosphere. The place is quite dilapidated but functional and the showers / toilets / laundry room are pretty clean for a hostel. Otherwise great location!! In short, I recommend!

St Christopher's Edinburgh Original is an outstanding choice for anyone visiting Edinburgh, offering a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and great value. Located right next to most of the city's major attractions, this hostel is the ideal base for exploring everything Edinburgh has to offer. The staff at St Christopher's are truly exceptional friendly, helpful, and always ready to ensure you have a fantastic stay. The rooms are cozy, with clean and well-maintained bathrooms and showers that make you feel right at home. Each room is equipped with lockers, so you can securely store your belongings, but be sure to bring your own lock. Additionally, the hostel provides small lockers for storing your luggage while you explore the city, which is incredibly convenient. You have to rent the bigger lockers One of the best aspects of staying here is the range of events they host, making it easy to meet other travelers and have a great time. Plus, if you book directly through their website, you'll not only save money but also receive a free welcome drink—a nice touch that enhances the experience. All of this comes at a very reasonable price, making St Christopher's Edinburgh Original an excellent option for budget-conscious travelers. The location is unbeatable, with everything you want to see just a short walk away. Whether you're in Edinburgh for sightseeing, nightlife, or just to soak in the city's vibrant culture, St Christopher's Edinburgh Original puts you right in the heart of it all. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable and affordable stay in Edinburgh!

The St Christopher's Inn is located directly above Edinburgh's Waverley Station, but you can't tell from the noise. The staff are friendly, helpful and always courteous. The hostel is clean, offers space for privacy and has a wide range of services. Guests get a discount at the adjoining bar and the cafe opposite (which is delicious). I can recommend the establishment and look forward to coming back!

It fulfills the purpose of a hostel. However, the beds are very tight, bunk beds. I wouldn't go back. Excellent location.

Very friendly staff, activities are organized every evening. We were able to participate in the pizza night in the restaurant opposite: the hostel pays for pizzas and beers for us with all the participants. Breakfast is an all-you-can-eat buffet in the restaurant opposite for £5. The only downside is that there is no kitchen, just a kettle and a microwave.

Very good stay in a private room with 2 bunk beds. The beds are not excellent and the bathroom is small but more than adequate for only 2 nights. The breakfast offered in the restaurant opposite is very good for its low price (5 pounds). Very young and festive atmosphere.

My stay at the St Christopher Inn Hostel in Edinburgh was great! The quality of the beds and rooms was impeccable, making for a comfortable nights sleep. The support and breakfast were also great, providing a great start to the day. The only downside was the showers seemed a bit basic with their "plastic" feel, but considering the affordable price and the friendly atmosphere of the hostel, it was perfectly acceptable. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for comfortable and friendly accommodation in Edinburgh.

Hostel above expectations: excellent location (you can easily get there by bus from the airport and the train station is a 2-minute walk away), helpful staff, adequate rooms (a few more hangers would be useful), small but functional bathroom and shower, simple but sufficient breakfast. Small flaw: the waitresses in the hostel canteen are not particularly attentive to the room and the customer.
Silvia Barrientos
The place is great!! Perfectly located. 5 minutes walk from everything. The staff was very attentive and the atmosphere of the place… simply wonderful. The bathroom furniture was not amazing but it served its purpose. The only downside is that there is no plug in the bathroom. I totally recommend the buffet breakfast. Quality price… you can't give more for less. Congratulations and thanks to the whole team!!!!

I read the previous reviews and was a little worried, but I can't complain in any way. The location is great and the staff were super polite. The rooms and especially the toilet and shower were very clean. The size of the room (8 people) was appropriate. The noise level was at the same level as in the city center, but it wasn't disturbing. I didn't use the breakfast, so I can't comment on that. I would happily visit the hostel again when I'm in town.

Good value for money. The single room is comfortable but the shower is not great. Breakfast is not extraordinary but has what you need. Arrive at 3 p.m. not 1 minute early.

When I booked I thought I had a single room with shared bathroom, when I arrived I realized I had one bed out of 20, I was a little surprised, I had never been in a hostel. And I must say that I had a great time. Rooms cleaned every day, essentials never missing, kind and helpful staff, location of the structure central to all the places most visited by tourists and close to transport stops. What more to say, I recommend it and would definitely go back.

Hello there, When you think of a hostel, you tend to stereotype them as a poor quality place, I suppose due to their low costs, because I am happy to inform you that the St. Christopher's Inn does NOT fit those adjectives at all. If you decide to stay here you will find, to begin with, a lobby with a modern, young and welcoming aesthetic, which in the latter, is thanks to its wonderful receptionists willing to help you in any way they can and with various language skills. On the other hand, the rooms are dark enough to guarantee a good rest even when it is more or less early and they have really comfortable bunk beds (at least in my humble opinion), which have curtains, plugs and their own light to allow a certain degree of intimacy. In addition, in the hostel there are several showers and sinks per floor and a room with washers and dryers on the 2nd floor. Finally, let me tell you that if you decide to stay, you'll get a discount at Belushi's, the bar/restaurant across the street. -In short, a perfect place to rest, which magnificently combines good quality with a good price.

Excellent location, a stone's throw from the station and the main streets. The rooms are a little small but the quality/price ratio is very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is connected internally with two bars where you have discounts

Hostel with the standard of the St. Christopher chain. Reasonably clean and quiet. The breakfast is good, but not very diverse. The only thing missing was a socket/lamp at the head of the bed and a curtain on the bunk bed to earn it 5 stars.
