Latroupe Grand Place Hostel

It's a great hostel for a few days' stay. The rooms have en-suite bathrooms and showers. It's nice that the bunk beds have curtains, as it provides privacy. And you're not bothered by the light when others need it. It's also very useful that the reception area has a kettle, microwave, water, and dishes available, since you can buy food at the market and heat it up or cook it yourself. It's very practical and saves you several euros. Plus, it's close to the city center, an 8-minute walk from the main square and some bars. It's very convenient. The night receptionists speak Spanish and English, which made communicating with them much easier. The only negative thing I could mention is that I was put in a room with five other men, being the only woman, which was a bit awkward.

I stayed at the Hostal for a day, due to which I arrived a day later, due to train cancellations due to the snow, I was kindly able to book my reservation for an additional price of 4.30 euros which was the difference, I stayed in a 4-bed female room, so I could really rest and sleep very well, in the bathrooms They are spacious and the beds are comfortable. They also offer free gift for 11 euros but you can leave your suitcases but it is also paid. So it's excellent if you're looking for a quiet place but any service like a vacation or even leaving your suitcases at your own hostel is considered, supplementary and paid!! In general the hostal is very quiet!! I stayed at the hostel for one day because I arrived a day later due to train cancellations because of the snow. So, it's excellent if you're looking for a quiet place but with all the services, like breakfast or even leaving your luggage at the hostel itself, but they consider that a supplement and it's paid for! Overall, the hostel is very quiet! Ich habe einen Tag im Hostal übernachtet, weil ich aufgrund von Zugausfällen wegen Schneefall einen Tag später angekommen bin. Sie konnten meine Reservierung gegen einen Aufpreis von 4,30 Euro, der Differenz, umbuchen. Ich habe in einem 4-Bett-Zimmer für Frauen übernachtet, sodass ich mich wirklich ausruhen und sehr gut schlafen konnte. Die Badezimmer sind geräumig und die Betten bequem. Es wird auch ein Frühstück für 11 Euro angeboten. Man kann sein Gepäck dort lassen, muss dafür aber ebenfalls bezahlen. Es ist also ideal, wenn man einen ruhigen Ort sucht, aber dennoch alle Dienstleistungen wie Frühstück oder die Möglichkeit, sein Gepäck im Hostel zu lassen, in Anspruch nehmen möchte. Diese werden jedoch als Zusatzleistungen betrachtet und sind kostenpflichtig! Im Allgemeinen ist das Hostal sehr ruhig !!

We stayed during the Christmas season, and the location was quite central, close to all the main streets and the Grand Place; we could walk everywhere. The service was very friendly and they helped us order a taxi. They also offer a luggage storage service upon arrival until check-in time for an hourly fee. As for the room, there were four of us, one double bed and one bunk bed. The mattress on the bunk beds was quite thin, and we didn't sleep well at all; the pillow was extremely thin. Otherwise, it was quite good and clean; it was perfectly adequate for sleeping.

I loved it!! The location is fantastic; you can walk everywhere. There's a bar where you can have a drink and relax. The staff are all wonderful; they always help and resolve any issues with a smile. I'm so grateful to the staff.

Perfect for student groups or solo travelers, very well located, excellent breakfast.

The location is excellent due to its proximity to the train and subway station. The rooms were the best and most noteworthy aspect. Although small, the beds are very comfortable and offer privacy thanks to curtains. The bathroom is en-suite; it's small but still comfortable, and the remaining space in the room is too small for the number of beds. The common areas on the ground floor are very nice and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. If you arrive before check-in time, they charge you for luggage storage. Some people ahead of me complained about this, and their bags were accepted free of charge; I believe this should apply to everyone.

Getting there from Brussels Central Station wasn't difficult; it's really only a 10-15 minute walk. The facilities are generally very nice and well-maintained. It was a huge plus that they had a laundromat where you could wash your clothes simply by paying with a card at the machines. The staff was very friendly the whole time, answering every question, and some even speak Spanish if you get tired of speaking English, haha.

Very nice and clean hostel, very well located near the main square, just 10 minutes away. It's like a hotel but with shared rooms. The breakfast is varied and delicious. The only downside is that I found the breakfast very expensive, even though it's a buffet. I also found the accommodation expensive, even though we're in Brussels.

The best hostel I've ever stayed in in Europe! Excellent in terms of cleanliness and location. The rooms and bedding were very clean, the bathrooms smelled great, and the entire interior of the hostel was spotlessly clean – a pleasant atmosphere. It's close to everything: train, metro, and tourist attractions. I also thought the breakfast was worth it. It had everything you needed: boiled eggs, cheese, croissants, some fruit, coffee, tea, water, yogurt, and something that looked like pancake batter which was delicious! La Troupe, congratulations!

We loved it! We only stayed one night but enjoyed it immensely. They offer breakfast, laundry service, and a locker service for storing luggage. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere welcoming. As for the rooms, they were clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. There was no hairdryer, but towels and soap were provided. We didn't hear any noise and had a very peaceful night.

Just a few minutes from the Grand Place, this hostel is very geared towards young people, but also suitable for families. The price in August wasn't exactly cheap, but that's to be expected. The rooms are spacious, with a huge double bed and a bunk bed. Our room was on the 5th floor, so we had great views. It was very clean, with a separate shower, toilet, and sink. Breakfast was basic, but there was a bit of everything. The best thing was the pancakes. Nearby, there are restaurants, shops, supermarkets, and more.

I found my stay at Latroupe very pleasant. The hostel is well located, with everything within easy walking distance. The option to have breakfast at the hostel and use the bar was also fine. The room was spacious and had good storage space for luggage, etc. Unfortunately, the shower smelled unpleasant as soon as the water was turned on. I also pointed out the broken window several times, as it wouldn't open. A repairman was supposed to come and fix it. Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi signal in my room was barely noticeable. Otherwise, the staff were helpful and always tried to resolve any problems as quickly as possible.

My overall experience was great. The bed is excellent and has a curtain, which provides more privacy. There's a common area that's ideal for socializing, and I really liked being able to order food and drinks at the hostel because some days I didn't want to go out. Its location is great, just a few minutes' walk from the main attractions. All the staff were very kind. I appreciated being able to leave my luggage in a secure locker until check-in, and also that the person who helped me asked if I preferred the top or bottom bunk. The hostel provides soap for the shower, which was also great! I honestly heard almost no noise at night; the hostel is super quiet, and the people I shared a room with were also very respectful about that. I just wish they had more lockers to store things. I would definitely stay here again.

For someone who's never stayed in a hostel, I recommend it for its youthful, relaxed atmosphere. The reception staff are incredibly friendly. The location is very central: just 400 meters from Grand Place and a short walk from the metro. The place is very clean. Breakfast is available at the hostel, and there's also an on-site bar where you can grab a drink.

The hostel is modern, well-located, and clean! Some negative points, such as the bathroom ventilation, could be adjusted for a better experience. I also recommend a full-length mirror behind the door or somewhere else. Otherwise, the rooms are wonderful, the breakfast is delicious, and the staff is very helpful! I would definitely stay there again!

The hostel's facilities are great. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is simple but tasty and offers good value for money. Regarding the rooms, I stayed in a shared room and although it was quite comfortable, I found some drawbacks, such as: the bathroom doesn't have an odor extractor, so after someone uses it, the smell takes a long time to dissipate. The shower in the bathroom is good, but our drain was a little clogged, so that was sometimes a bit inconvenient. Otherwise, the beds are very comfortable and I found the luggage storage adequate.

For those hesitant to try hostels, this is the right choice. Very functional rooms, comfortable beds, and super accessible staff, concerned about our well-being and comfort. The rooms and bathroom were spotless. We opted for a private room for 4 people and we didn't regret it. Ideal for families or if traveling in a group. The breakfast is varied and quite complete. There is a dining area with a microwave, electric kettle, and dishes if needed. The bathrooms are equipped with shower gel and shampoo. The location is very good! Quite close to the central square and public transport for comfortable travel. To leave your luggage, you can always use the paid lockers in the hostel's basement. The nights were very calm and quiet. We loved it!!

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Excellent location, very central and close to the station. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms have curtained beds, charging sockets, and personal courtesy lights. The only downside is that breakfast is served in the lobby; a dedicated room would be better so as not to block the entrance.
