Definitely the best hostel I stayed at in all of Italy. Unfortunately, I only had the opportunity to stay at Ostello Bello at the very end of my trip; if I had known about their services earlier, I definitely would have stayed in other cities as well. I stayed in a great room, which had two floors and was divided into two bedrooms, a living room, and a balcony. I had the pleasure of sharing a room with just me and a roommate, which made the stay much more enjoyable. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, and they provide items like earplugs and even skincare masks. The kitchen is spacious with several stoves, and the fact that it has basic items for cooking our own food makes the experience very positive! Like pasta, rice, beans, etc. I love to cook, so it was great for me. I was surprised by both the service and the space. I highly recommend it!

Perfectly located just steps from Piazza Principe station. The staff are lovely. Everyone at the bar, reception, cleaning, and karaoke was smiling and willing to help. Scanning a QR code or quickly registering on their website gets you a free welcome drink. They always organize activities for people to socialize and have fun (I've only stayed here once, but I've also stayed at Ostello Bello in Milano Centrale and Como before). The rooms are okay, but the bed could be a bit more comfortable and less noisy. Thanks for the great time!

Ostello Bello, also known as Hotel Britannia, is a hybrid of a hostel (primarily for young people) and a hotel. I found my stay surprisingly quiet, and the room was very spacious, in contrast to the very small bathroom and shower. A good breakfast is available at a very reasonable price. The location right next to the train station is also convenient, providing a perfect base for exploring the city and taking excursions.

The hostel is very well maintained and organized. The breakfast is great. The receptionists were attentive at all times.

If you're someone who enjoys backpacking 🎒 and meeting new people, this place might be a good option for you. It functions more like a hostel than a hotel, has a lovely terrace and a shared kitchen, and there are frequent gatherings. We stumbled upon it by accident and realized it's very close to the train station. The rooms are very clean and spacious, but the bathroom smelled like sewage, and since it's near the city center, it's quite noisy, making it difficult to rest at times.

Suitable for solo travelers, groups or families. Excellent service, close to Piazza Principe station and various attractions.

Located less than 200 meters from the train station. The service is very good. The place is very clean. There's a small area to pour a drink. If you're lucky, you might hear a band playing. It even has a laundry room. The place is very stylish. Even if I came as part of an event to occupy the space, I would repeat the experience.

Well located, close to the station, market and pharmacy, the reception and bar staff are very attentive, food and drink options inside the hostel, the only negative point was that the air conditioning in the room did not work and it was very hot at night

Well-equipped rooms. A very positive point was that there was a mini-fridge and the beds were separated into two areas, which gives more privacy even if you're in the same room. The staff was friendly, and upon arrival they gave you a token that you can exchange for a drink (soda, Red Bull, Spritz, etc.). I didn't give it 5 stars because: the bed (especially the pillow) was a bit uncomfortable, the air conditioning worked the first day but was a bit warm the rest of the time, and the elevator up button on the ground floor didn't work. Otherwise, it was a good and quiet stay overall. It's also very, very close to the train station. I would return. I hope they fix the elevator button and take the rest into account :)

A very good hostel. It's clean, well-organized despite being busy, and the service is friendly. The breakfast offered for an extra charge is excellent and very generous! The location is fantastic: close to the historic center and, most importantly, just a 1-minute walk from Piazza Principe train station, perfect for exploring the Ligurian coast every day!

Well-located hostel, next to the train station. The rooms are spacious and air-conditioned. The bar is nice with regular entertainment. The only negative point I noticed is the baggage policy. On the website, it is stated that we can leave our bags in the hotel for free before check-in and after check-out. However, at the reception, I was told that I have to pay to leave my bags after check-out. You should consider updating your policies and regulations on your website. This would help avoid unforeseen problems.

The hostel is perfect in every detail, from the very sturdy steel bunk beds (they don't wobble when someone else turns over), impeccable bedding, complete bathrooms, light and power outlet for cell phones at each bed, bike and luggage storage, fully equipped kitchen, all free.

Absolutely impressed! I've stayed at the Ostello Bello in several cities, but Genoa stands out! The staff is incredibly friendly and made my stay a fantastic experience. What was booked for one night turned into over two weeks. What I particularly liked was that in the bar, you not only meet other travelers but also many people who live in Genoa and meet up here. There's foosball, billiards, table tennis, karaoke, song quizzes, and more. I highly recommend this hostel!

A beautiful hostel, with very friendly staff, very clean rooms with private bathrooms, and very friendly common areas. There are free items available in the kitchen. I definitely recommend it, and if I return to Genoa, I'll stay there again. It's only 100 meters from the train station, which is also very convenient.

This hotel is located in the center of Genoa. I liked the atmosphere, good breakfast, large bathroom, large room too. Great service. I was with a tour group.

A pleasant surprise. The rooms were super clean, large, and well-equipped. The location was unbeatable, with the train station just a minute away, bus stops, and tourist attractions nearby. The hostel staff was wonderful, super friendly and professional. The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere that makes you want to stay there, and the restaurant's incredible food is a highlight. Highly recommended and we will definitely return.

Very close to the train station and in one of the better areas of Genoa. The shared rooms are all clean, but the bathroom is really small and simply doesn't do justice to six people. The staff is super friendly, and after five minutes, I sat down on the terrace and chatted about everything. Recommended for people just passing through. I was upstairs by the window, and it was a bit noisy at times, even at night or in the morning. There are many cafés and food stalls nearby. You can also cook your own meals in the kitchen, and pasta, etc., is available.

I stayed for 3 days in a dormitory with 5 people, it was a great experience, the staff at this hotel work very well, the location is very good, practically next to the Genova train station.

The hostel was the nicest we've ever stayed in; I highly recommend it! It was well-equipped in every way, every single member of staff was the epitome of friendliness (no exaggeration), and even the bathroom in our 6-bed room was cleaned every day. The highlight for us: the terrace with hammocks and countless green plants, including herbs that you can use for cooking.

My travel partner and I (unfortunately) only stayed one night at this hostel, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything is just like the online pictures: the entrance area, the terrace, the kitchen, the rooms. Above all, everything is clean, which is always very important to me. Upon arrival, you get a free drink and you can store your luggage. The rooms are large, nicely furnished, and comfortable. We booked two beds in a four-person dorm and were pleasantly surprised by how private the room actually was, as two beds were on a lower level and two more were located a little higher up, accessible by a small staircase of maybe five steps. In the evening, we all watched the Italy vs. England soccer match together and enjoyed the company of free snacks (chips, popcorn). The only (not really) negative thing was that our shower seemed to be leaking a bit, which caused the bathroom floor to get wet, but it dried quickly and wasn't too annoying. Since we are also traveling to Florence on our trip, we will try to get a room at the Ostello Bello there as well.
