By far the coolest and best hostel I've ever stayed in! The location couldn't be more perfect; you're right in the heart of the city, it couldn't be better situated. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful; everyone I met was so nice. The hostel is not only uniquely decorated but also offers free breakfast every morning and free pasta every evening. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! I would definitely recommend it to everyone and know exactly where I'll be sleeping when I return to Cantania! 🥰🥰😍

From the moment I arrived at Ostello degli Elefanti, I found only friendship, smiles, and excellent service. Everyone who worked there made me feel immediately at ease, as if I were at home, and they were always helpful and kind. The room I chose was very good: private bathroom, only four beds, clean and tidy daily. The people I shared those days with were truly interesting, and I had the opportunity to meet and talk to many lovely people. The hostel also had a fantastic terrace where they served drinks at very reasonable prices, much better than in many other places. The location was perfect: very close to Piazza del Duomo and less than 700 meters from the central train station, very convenient for getting around. Breakfast was included and was really good: sandwiches, pastries, yogurt, cappuccino, and fruit. In the evening, they also offered free pasta, which was already included in the price of the stay, a detail that made all the difference. I stayed there for four days in February and I can honestly say it was a wonderful experience. I sincerely thank all the staff, who were extremely friendly and welcoming. I recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Catania and I would definitely stay here again!

I really enjoyed the pleasant common areas for relaxing, eating, working, and chatting with other travelers. The rooftop terrace, with its fantastic view of downtown Catania and Mount Etna, was also an absolute highlight. The fact that the rooms and bathrooms were thoroughly cleaned daily also put me at ease. This place is an oasis in a sometimes difficult world, where you can relax without necessarily spending a lot of money.

I stayed at the hostel for three nights in October. It was great. The hostel is very well located on Via Etnea, one of the prettiest streets in the city. It's also close to the market, an interesting place to stroll around and eat. The hostel itself is lovely. The bathrooms were clean. The staff was very friendly at all times, both when serving breakfast and when giving recommendations about the city. I was lucky enough to meet some great people there with whom I did various activities. I would definitely return.

I come here frequently with my closest friends: the terrace overlooking the dome of the Badia di Sant'Agata and the lively Via Etnea offers a unique view, making this place truly special. Prices are affordable, with discounts for frequent members. The atmosphere is young, welcoming, multicultural, and relaxing. The staff is friendly and welcoming: there's a waiter with a Basque accent, friendly and daring in just the right measure, and the sweet Silvia, who brings drinks with gentleness and lightness with her smile. A terrace in the heart of the city that remains etched in memory. It's also a hostel: welcoming for tourists passing through, often an opportunity to meet new people. It's a cozy hostel with about 20 guests when it's fully booked. There's an annex that I didn't see. It's clean; they clean it every day. Breakfast is small but okay, with fruit and delicious coffee. The decor in the common room is pretty and very creative. Plenty of space to relax. I'm in a room for eight women; everyone is very quiet, and I can sleep. I'm 64, and not everything is as easy as it was when I was 20. The women's bathroom could use a renovation; it smells a bit musty. For three nights, it's all good. The staff is very friendly, which is fantastic considering the large number of people changing daily. The rooftop terrace with its view of Mount Etna is simply wow. Unfortunately, I'm traveling alone, so it's nice to be surrounded by so many young people.

Spectacular location, just steps from everything: monuments, restaurants, bus station... The staff are super friendly, everything was clean, and the rooftop has incredible views.

We organized a pre-wedding party here on May 30th. It's obviously a major event, and I can't say Alessandro and Angela didn't listen to my requests. The venue is nothing short of fabulous. All the guests (most of whom weren't from Catania) were enchanted, and rightly so, seeing the carefree, happy expressions on their faces, we, the newlyweds, were too. I especially want to thank Luca and Alan; without them, this event wouldn't have had the same energy, the same beauty, and overall, it wouldn't have turned out the way it did (uniquely). Luca, you're wonderfully approachable and also super professional. I can't say which one outweighs the other, but I swear you're absolutely top-notch in both respects. You made the guests feel at home, and I hope they enjoyed themselves, too. Alan, thank you so much for the care you showed our guests with food intolerances, for always asking and being so helpful. I swear there were times when I felt like lending a hand with everything you did. You're a true all-rounder. Thank you both so much, I can't wait to come back to Catania to say hello. The best-placed rooftop terrace with great cocktails. Views of Etna and the Hooks, with the added bonus of sunshine until late!!! A nearly secret entrance and a small membership fee for this co-working association.

I went there for a drink with a view of Mount Etna! The weather wasn't cooperating (a large, static cloud in front of Etna), but the place is definitely worth it! The view is breathtaking! It's important to note that you need to become a member to access the terrace if you're not staying at the hostel. It doesn't make access easy, but it's understandable! Otherwise, the place would be packed because the view is so beautiful! The staff is very helpful and makes sure you have a great experience! IT'S A BANGER!

Perfect location with free breakfast and pasta for dinner. As the hotel is in the center, it’s very noisy at night, but it’s not the problem for me. There’s some smell from the toilet tube, but I know it’s normal for an old building. Overall, I think it’s the best choice for me to stay in Catania!

The staff is excellent, super helpful and attentive, the breakfast is incredible and super complete, free pasta at night and they have a gluten-free option, the common room is super spacious, has several board games, musical instruments, the balcony where you can see Etna, the terrace and the bar are very good and well attended, magnetic security key, you have 3 air conditioners in the room where I stayed, the bedding is IMPECCABLE, the cleanliness of the rooms and in general a luxury, you can store your luggage in the rooms and at reception until 1 pm free of charge, they advise you on everything you can do, the location is in the center. I emphasize again the staff is EXCELLENT!! I would love to give it 5 stars, just one detail the music from the bar in the building below where I slept and the smell that came out of the bathroom. I recommend it and would return (I even wanted to but tomorrow there was no room) Very, very grateful for your treatment! I already recommended it and will continue to do so! 🇫🇷🤌♥️

I stayed several nights. The hostel is spectacular. From its balconies, you have the best view of the volcano. Its location is perfect on the main street. The rooms are spacious and airy. The breakfast is delicious, and they offer a pasta dish in the evening if you don't feel like going out. The reception staff is impeccable! Always willing to help and super friendly. With its hand-painted ceilings, the reception area is incredible! Thank you so much for hosting me. I had a wonderful time! And I almost forgot! The sheets and blankets were also spotless! Absolutely white and ironed! A very good hostel indeed.

The hostel is located right in the city center. Unfortunately, the supermarket and train station are still a long way away. The reception and common areas are very nicely designed, and there's a great rooftop terrace with a bar and a fantastic view. Breakfast is very small, not a buffet. Dinner consists of pasta, but the amount is excellent. Unfortunately, my room was in a neighboring building, and you had to walk through the courtyard to get to the common area and the kitchen. The beds are very loud and squeaky. The bathroom is very old.

A very centrally located hostel, perfect for exploring the city. The rooftop terrace offers a stunning view of Mount Etna. The staff is very friendly, and the pasta night is a great way to meet other travelers. :)

It's the best hostel in Catania and possibly in Sicily. The atmosphere, the staff, the location, the facilities, and the price are very fair. In the height of summer, it suffers like any hostel in a touristy area and gets very hot, but the rooms have air conditioning, the kitchen is large, the common areas are also great, and it has a rooftop terrace with an incredible view of the entire city and facing Mount Etna. Having an aperitif at sunset is a must for anyone visiting Catania.

Excellent! The hostel is very comfortable and super-equipped - there was even free pasta every night. The staff was VERY friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. Everything was perfect, and the location is super convenient, right in the center of town. The highlight of the place is the terrace with the cocktail bar. You can see the entire center from above, with Mount Etna in the background. We saw some unique sunsets :)

The location is perfect – right in the city center! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and speak excellent English! I spontaneously inquired about a room on-site and paid €20 including breakfast. There's also a beautiful rooftop terrace with a fantastic view and a rooftop bar! 100% recommended :-)
