It was really cool to stay in an old prison. Right in the city center, yet quiet. Comfortable beds and perfect breakfast service. Friendly staff at reception who were always ready with helpful tips. Would definitely stay again!

A unique hostel in the heart of Chur. Attractive, modern, and very clean rooms, a great location, and friendly staff, all at a fair price. And last but not least: a simple but delicious breakfast with local dairy products.

Check-in was super easy! They automatically send you a WhatsApp message, and just say "yes" and they send you the room number and access code! There's a receptionist from 9 am to 9 pm, which is perfect. Breakfast is available the day before, so you can have it from 5 am or earlier. The rooms are warm and quiet, and it's just 10 minutes from the train station and on very pretty streets. Highly recommended!

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in, an incredible experience!

A wonderful stay in a historic building. We had a double room with a bunk bed and a bathroom. Everything was in good order and clean. The staff was also friendly. The room amenities were very good as well.

What a cool idea to turn a prison into a hostel, and the execution is truly excellent! The reception staff are incredibly friendly and have great tips for exploring the city. The location is ideal in the old town, and we were able to find inexpensive parking just 200 meters away. Free parking is practically nonexistent in Chur. Our private one-bedroom apartment with its own bathroom was clean and tidy, as were the bed linens and towels. The Wi-Fi worked flawlessly, although we didn't use it for anything too demanding. Breakfast was simple but very good, and the small kitchen almost gave off a shared-apartment vibe. We only had a quick look at the other common areas due to the short length of our stay. All in all, we're very satisfied. In our opinion, you need to be at least a little bit open to the prison atmosphere and shouldn't book the accommodation solely for the cheapest possible place to sleep in a good location. Thanks for everything; we'd love to come back to Chur!

Great location, near the Chur Art Museum. You walk through a gate into a courtyard flanked on the left by a new residential building; straight ahead is the restaurant and the entrance to the arched hotel, a lively plaza. With online check-in, you can go straight to your room, passing countless former prison cells. The contact with the receptionist was pleasant and informative.

A very nice place, right in the heart of things. Really thoughtful service, the breakfast reminds me a bit of a shared apartment... the ventilation is certainly okay for neutralizing smelly feet, but the noise, the whirring and humming, is antiquated. For me, this place had a special character: I attended the concert at the city theater where Walter Lietha presented his songs; he himself sat in this very building for a while when it was still under construction. Nora: the "arch" only looks curved from the kitchen window on the 3rd floor.

The room was small but very clean and perfect for one night. The shower is small but perfectly adequate for one person. The only criticism is the breakfast; it's not worth the 9 CHF. It's preferable to book just the room and buy breakfast at the supermarket the day before.

I had a very pleasant stay at this establishment. The building is magnificent, the rooms are beautifully renovated and comfortable. Everything was clean, from the room to the kitchen and common areas. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Furthermore, the city of Chur is stunning and definitely worth a visit.

Excellent experience, collaborative and friendly staff, very well structured and well organized. Our room was private with a bathroom, small but well organized and equipped. The communal kitchen is practical and complete. The location is practically in the center and relatively close to the station, from where it's possible to go up to spectacular mountain trails.

Very clean, tidy, and comfortable. It has good beds, linens, and towels. The shower has excellent water flow and temperature. The heating is perfect, and the common areas are very pleasant. An excellent option for spending the night before taking the Bernina Express.

The place is very nice, and the people are very friendly. I really liked that, despite the room being very small, it was positioned to offer good privacy. What I didn't like was that on one floor, for eight beds or people, there was only one shower, which was a bit inconvenient, in addition to only one bathroom. But otherwise, it was quite good :)

I absolutely loved it. The staff were super friendly, the facilities were clean and well signposted, and the room was comfortable with a great view. Plus, the hostel is right in the heart of the Old Town and has a very quaint bar nearby. There's also a public bike station less than a 5-minute walk away (opposite the Theatre Church). Highly recommended!

The hotel is located in the city, in a converted former prison. The renovations are very recent and well done. Everything is clean and tidy. Additional showers and toilets are available upstairs (a welcome feature as we were in a room for four and traveling by bicycle), with the same high-quality facilities and level of cleanliness. The overall atmosphere is very pleasant. There are common areas, including a nicely furnished room for relaxing with others. The young man who greeted us was friendly, helpful, and always ready to answer questions (offering good advice, particularly regarding breakfast options). A secure storage area is available for bicycles.
