Rising Cock Hostel’s best facilities
Rising Cock Hostel, consisting of a large, comfortable common room, outdoor beer garden, terrace, and kitchen facilities, is the perfect place for any traveller to hang out and have a fun time. While guests are having fun, we have made sure that parties don’t cause any harm to the environment. Waste recycling bins for emptied bottles, energy from solar panels, and other eco-friendly solutions. Every morning from 9:00 to 11:00, Mama makes her famous crepes and “tika-tika” lemon tea. She tells us that this magical tea can cure any hangover, which is exactly what you need after a crazy night out! And all we know for sure is that crepes and tea work! Channel your inner kid and eat as many crepes as you can. Mama will make sure that “If you got a plate, you got a crepe!”

The Rising Cock is best known for providing a non-stop party. When you become a guest at the Cock’s, you will immediately be engulfed in the full party experience. Lagos has a lot to offer, from common room drinking games to booze cruises and pub crawls. The hostel’s friendly staff is there to make sure you have the best time possible and keep you going for as long as you want, or for the brave, until the sun rises.

The hostel has a great location near both the beach and the city. The beds were very comfortable, and the shared activities (like pub crawls) made it easy to meet other solo travelers. During my visit in November, the hostel wasn't too full. However, there are very few toilets and showers for the number of beds. While the sanitary facilities are clean, they are showing their age. I would definitely stay there again, though.

Super friendly staff, great atmosphere! Mom's pancakes and homemade lemon tea are exactly as promised. I was thrilled with this place and its fantastic location. The pub crawls are well-organized and a great way to meet people. Everything is within walking distance of the hostel.

Great hostel in the center of Lagos, just a short walk from the best restaurants, bars, and beaches! Activities like sunset walks with drinks, quiz nights, and pub crawls every evening made it easy to meet people! The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff were always helpful – Mom's free crêpes every morning are simply fantastic! 🔥

I stayed here early November 2023 (low season), and I’d definitely recommend this hostel for solo travellers. There were only 6 people staying at the hostel, including me, but even so the staff were still attentive and held bar crawls every night. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean. Very easy to meet people. My favourite part was in the morning the Mama that cooks pancakes.

Amazing hostel, filled with amazing people! Pubcrawls every night, the right environment if you wanna meet people and hang out. Felt super safe and welcome by all the staff. Well located hostal in Lagos, clean and great environment! Breakfast made with care by the landlady mother, I still recommend adding coffee and there is too much food and fruit to make up a varied breakfast!!

Incredible! They treated me very well from the entrance to the last minute. The bed is comfortable, everything is very clean and you have breakfast. There is also a comfortable TV room with Smart TV with Netflix. Mom is an AMAZING person and treats everyone as if they were her children, I really felt at home as if it was just a meeting between friends. They also have a free Pub Crawl which is really worth it. A very different place and I can say that it was the best experience among the hostels I have stayed in until today.

If you're looking to have fun and meet people, this is the place. The atmosphere is great, fun, and there's a daily pub crawl. Comfort isn't that great; the rooms are small, so if you're looking to relax, this isn't the place. Mom's crepes are very good, and she's super nice. I met some amazing people here.

We had an unforgettable stay at this hostel. Viktor and Richie are top hosts! Friendly, attentive and with beautiful personalities! As soon as we arrived they made us feel very welcome. We also spent very good evenings during the organized outings. And the morning breakfast prepared by mama is just perfect... We will definitely be back!
