Here’s our list with the best “cheap eats” spots in Stockholm for delicious food and culinary memories
Just arrived in Stockholm and don’t know good dining spots in the neighborhood yet? Scandinavia is a place many backpackers are afraid off due to the high prices. And I understand that. Its not the most budget friendly place to be. But you deserve more than eating cold sandwiches and instant ramen every single day. No more struggles with finding a budget-friendly and tasty place to eat! We created a suggestion list with the Top 5 Cheap Eats in Stockholm, scroll down to find out the best dishes that will satisfy your wallet and taste buds!

A true classic: Östermalms Food Hall
Location: Östermalmsgatan, 114 39 Stockholm, Sweden
Opening hours: Monday – Friday from 9:30am – 7pm and Saturday from 9:30am – 5pm
Located in the beautiful Östermalm quarter, you can’t miss this stunning 1880s food hall filled with antique stalls selling fresh produce, fish, and gourmet goods. Prices vary, of course, but every now and then you’ll spot a really good deal. So keep your eyes open! To save even more, you can always pick up some high-quality groceries here and cook yourself a delicious meal back at the hostel kitchen.
One world in Sthlm City Food Hall
Location: Klarabergsgatan 29, 111 21 Stockholm, Sweden
Opening hours: Monday – Saturday from 11am – 10pm and Sunday from 11am – 9pm
We’re continuing with the contemporary version of our predecessor. You might want to skip this place if you struggle to make decisions. Otherwise, it’s the perfect Cheap Eats spot in Stockholm for a casual meal with friends. I’d suggest that each of you order a different dish from a different restaurant to make the most of it. Mexican, Japanese, Italian, Chinese, and many other cuisines are represented here, so there’s truly something for everyone.
If you only have time for one restaurant, come here: Kajsas Fisk Restaurant
Location: Hötorgshallen 3, 111 57 Stockholm, Sweden
Opening hours: Monday – Thursday from 11am – 6pm / Friday from 11am – 7pm / Saturday from 11am – 4pm
What’s a trip to Stockholm without some good seafood? Here, you can enjoy Cheap Eats for around €10 — quite the steal for Stockholm if you ask me! That’s also why you should expect a bit of a queue when you come here. Their fish soup is the star of the menu, and you can help yourself to as much salad and bread as you like for free!
Comforting and Cheap Eats meals at Indian Street Food & Co all over Stockholm
Location: Several locations: closest one to City Backpackers Hostel -> Drottninggatan 73B, 111 36 Stockholm, Sweden
Opening hours: Monday – Friday from 11am – 7pm and Saturday – Sunday from 12pm – 6pm
Sometimes I’m just craving a hot, comforting meal — and you can never go wrong with a good curry. This restaurant serves generous portions for under €20. If you’d like to spend a little less, I recommend trying one of their Kathi Rolls.

Cheap Eats Scandwich Swedish style Stockholm

As the name suggests, this spot serves delicious Scandinavian-inspired sandwiches and tasty sides. I never knew a sandwich could be so rich and decadent. It’s sure to excite your taste buds. The interior design is also beautiful, and their drink selection is super creative.
Neapolitan pizza at Deglabbet Vasastan

You can never go wrong with a Neapolitan pizza, and here prices start at just €13: totally reasonable for the quality, especially considering you’re in Sweden.
