Rotterdam is the right place to enjoy LGTBQ parties, living up to the Dutch reputation of liberal thinking and embracing diversity, regardless of gender or sexual orientation. Over 95% of Dutch people approve of same-sex relationships. The Netherlands is home to the world’s first LGTB rights organization, supporting equality and diverse communities. As well as it is a great city to enjoy a party! The exciting scene here adds some spice to Rotterdam’s nightlife.

Best LGBTQ Cafes
Famous on the scene since the 1920s, Café De Unie is a known hang-out for its ambiance and a full suite of drinks, food, and a late-night party vibe.
Bar Loge 90 is an exuberant gay hotspot that also serves up some live music and late-night performances. During the day it has a chilled vibe, with a nice terrace for people watching, relaxing, and sipping a coffee.
Best Spots for Drinks & Drag
It would be a pretty lousy LGBTQ Party Guide to Rotterdam without covering the best spots to drink and catch a drag show. Bonaparte is a straight up gay bar with a great selection of drinks and drag, all served up on a pretty plate from 10 pm to 6 am.
Best known as a late night last drink place, Keerweer Café has some entertaining acts, from cabaret to drag and music performances. Often a hit with the late night crowd.
For something a little more of a spectacle check out the experiential art at Performance Bar where you can expect the unexpected in an all immersive show. This one is hard to explain, but if you like to shake things up then definitely put it on your menu.

Best for Cocktails
Café Strano is a classy joint for a cocktail at the slick bar, or to throw a few dance moves later in the night. Also, we recommend Mood Bar for a cocktail and a cruise.
Best Dance Spots
For electronic music and some upcoming acts, make a beeline to Now and Wow Club on the 10th floor. The Netherlands is famous for trance and electronic music, so this had to be included in our LGBTQ Party Guide to Rotterdam.

Best for Cruising
For a literal cruise, check out his boozy boat for some waterfront fun. De Regenboog motors around the waterways of Rotterdam and even to Amsterdam for a memorable voyage.
Mood Bar (mentioned earlier as a great cocktail bar) is best known for hosting the famous Underwear and Naked Party. And it’s exactly what it sounds like, so only go if you’re willing to participate! On less sensational nights it’s known as a male orientated cruising bar. Dress up (or dress off) depending on the day.
Gay Sauna Finland offers something more steamy than your average hot tub; check out the menu for drinks and dinner or fun and frolics of a same-sex nature. Open late for a whirlpool and cruise.
LGBTQ Parties and Events
Rotterdam Pride happens every year in the middle of September, and it’s a party you won’t want to miss! There are plenty of specially arranged bar and club events over the course of the week, so we suggest just following your heart to find the best parties. You also won’t want to miss the Pride Walk: Parade of Love, which is a fun filled event everyone enjoys. As always everyone is welcome, so dress yourself up in some colour and get the party started!
There’s also an indoor festival thrown by the famous Milkshake Festival for Pride week so expect some awesome club moves and shaking of the booty as this dance festival seriously ups the amps!
