a) Must-visit Areas
- Puig des Molins: one of the most important and well-known museums in the island is located right in the middle of the town. Impressive statues and art here will let you experience the life of the first civilisation that settled the land. It is a beautiful experience to learn more about the island!
- Castle of Ibiza: located near the port of Ibiza, the building itself is a must-see art object. Built by the Muslim rulers, it has been expanded over the years. The giant walls hide away an incredible view of the sea, with cannons over the towers. It is a beautiful place if you wish to find stunning views!
b) Art Galleries
- Museu d’Art Contemporani: this museum of modern art is situated very near the castle of Ibiza. The building has a clean and modern interior, but following the local arquitecture outside. Here you can immerse in modern and contemporary art, visit gallery-organized events, and just enjoy the cultural ambiance.
- Puget Museum: a beautiful building that hides an impressive collection of art made by a local artist. You will find beautiful paintings of the island and pieces of diverse art styles. Part of the experience is to get lost through the little streets of Ibiza until finding this hidden gem!

2. Where to eat in Ibiza
Ibiza’s traditional culinary scene mostly is influenced by the sea as well as neighboring islands like Mallorca. A local dish that we urge you to try is Borrida de rajada which is a fish dish traditionally served as casserole (skate fish, potatoes and almonds). When it comes to places where to head, we have some special suggestions that are undiscovered by tourists:
- Es Mercat: here everyone will be satisfied, it has a big terrace court-type place. Specialised in loca cuisine and fresh products, its a great option for big company get-togethers or date nights in a relaxed atmosphere.
- ISLA: another laid back place with a vibrant atmosphere and good prices. Specialised in sandwiches and burgers, it also has a bar with an extensive selection of drinks.
- Simbiosis: a local Vegan restaurant with a variety of rich-in-taste dishes to offer. Focused on sustainability and plant based foods. The dishes look like authentic pieces of art! In other words, even if you are not into vegan food, it is still an experience by itself.
- Popa Ibiza: A tapas place with an always welcoming atmosphere. Here you can make a quick stop and taste the best quality local meals like a local.
3. What to see in Ibiza
- Calas de Ibiza-España: this area located on the port is perfect for a promenade around the city. With the castle and old town behind you, and the Mediterranean sea in front, it is Ibiza at its finest.
- Old Town: take a walk through the picturesque historical center of Ibiza.
- Casa de las flores: this house is buried behind a wall of flowers. It is a beautiful spot to stop along while you explore the town. A colourful area that contrast with the white buildings.
- Torre des Carregador: this defensive tower build on the outskirts of the town overlooks a tiny island. If you’re looking to explore beyond the city, it provides a nice quiet spot to enjoy the sun and the sea.

4. Alternative places in Ibiza
- Cova de Can Marçà: this cave was used long ago by smugglers trying to hide from the authorities. It is incredible spacious for an underground area! As a result, there are plenty of incredible natural formations. It even has a waterfall. You won’t see anything as stunning as this around the island.
- Catedral de Santa Maria: a beautiful cathedral located in the old town. It has a beautiful interior. But the best part is that it offers some incredible views of the island!
- Illa Negra: if you have the chance to go into the sea, make sure to go near the black island. Firstly, it has a beautiful lighthouse. And moreover, the entire coast overlooking it is covered in beautiful beaches with crystal blue water!
