Prague isn’t like of Paris or Las Vegas, but if you’ve made it here, you know that there is a lot to do when the sun sets. The best thing about Nightlife in Prague, is that everything good is still affordable and the crowds are great fun.
Pub Crawl:
Pub Crawls are a great way to meet people! Dive into Prague’s legendary nightlife together with an international crowd of fellow travelers from across the world and highly motivated party guides. They usually include free unlimited drinks + free shots + VIP entrance to the club
For drinks:
The heart of Prague has many many bars, here are some of our favourites:
- Tretter’s, in Old Town Square, has a classic atmosphere with friendly bartenders;
- Bugsy’s and Zapa Bar are another hot favourite amongst locals and tourists alike;
- Tynska Bar, located right behind the famous TynChruch, is a place where people like to relax and unwind while watching a good game;
- The Cilibar, on Kozna 8, serves some of the very best Prague cocktails for unbelievably cheap prices;
- If you like to dance or want to take your date for a drink, then you should head out to SolidniNejisota. This place is quite close to the National Theatre;
- La Fabrique, located in the Wencelas Square is also great to enjoy great food and drinks with some dancing;
- If you are looking for a bar but don’t want to get far from your hostel we definitely recommend the bar at the Czech Inn hostel. They have a great happy hour every evening from 6 to 8pm and special deals on beers on tap, on Czech shots and cocktails.
For dancing:
- Meloun is the perfect place if you want to try something Czech oriented music and vibes;
- Radost FX usually has some of the most famous DJs from all over the world. The dance floor is downstairs while the stairs take you to a very hip lounge with a classy vegetarian restaurant;
- Karlovy Lazne club is not far off from the Charles Bridge and has 3 different floors for dancing;
- Duplex club on the Wencelas Square main road is where The Rolling Stones celebrated Mick Jagger’s 60th birthday when they were touring Prague;
- Young people usually enjoy attending the 80s Friday nights hosted by the Lucerna Music Club in the same area. This club is pretty large and tends do get very packed;
- If you like jazz music or the blues, then you will find the live performances at the U Maleho quite entertaining. This bar is quite small and only has some tables so it is best to book well in advance if you do want to go here as the place is much sought after. The performance schedule is readily available on the Internet.
For beer lovers:
For beer lovers and those who love great food, there are many places to hang out:
- The Pivovarskyand the U Vejvodu are quite popular with the locals here;
- The U Fleku is one of the oldest breweries in the world and serves some great drinks. The waiters stroll around the seating area with trays of the finest drinks. Expect a big bill for later on but do enjoy your dinks while there. You might never get to see a 500 year treasured wine again.
Strip Clubs:
The streets on the sides of the Wencelas Square have plenty of strip clubs. This is also called the red light area of Prague. This is not the best area for a nightly stroll, though. Many people come across pickpockets here, so it is better to be safe than sorry while walking the streets. One of the ways they trick tourists is by women, out of the blue, coming to men and asking for a hug. This is when they strike. For those traveling to Prague, beware, pickpocketing is one of the problems you may face anywhere in town.
Pro Tip:
One of the best tips we can give you is to remember that the metro closes after midnight. If you are roaming the city in the wee hours or enjoying the nightlife in Prague, it probably is best to hire a cab to take you back to where you are staying.
If you are looking for the best place to stay we can’t recommend the Czech Inn hostel enough. They have the greatest staff in the world and can give the best tips for a perfect night in Prague.
